my ears are still ringing & buzzing... i hope there is no permanent damage!!
i had two job related emails today - did not get the bondi junction job but i did get an email about the government job that i applied for a few weeks ago... i have made it through the first stage and can expect a telephone interview in the next week or two... it pays quite well and hopefully i can get a position in the city office - it could be any of their offices but i think they try to place you as close to home as possible. another girl from the current hellhole left recently to work for this same section but in a team leader role. it gives me hope that the universe is steering me in the right direction...
miss e and i were going to go up the mountains tomorrow (our 2nd annual trip to leura and katoomba). the bad news is that there is trackwork on the rail line so we'd have to get a bus from the city to penrith and get the train from there. it takes about an hour and a half to get to penrith in the train, the bus would take far too long so we've put the trip off for another weekend soon (while it is still winter). we have a backup plan to fossick about one of the many saturday morning markets in suburban sydney. the good news is that i can sleep in for a bit.
